Commercial Pest Control Services Experience

Commercial Pest Control Services Experience

Today, we’re going to talk a bit about what we’re doing for some of our clients in need of commercial pest control services. This includes people who have large warehouses, small buildings, and retail locations.

Big Companies Choose Us for Commercial Pest Control Services

Some companies like Jiffy Lube, Big O’ Tires, and Glenn Air Corporation choose us for their commercial pest control services. Why do they opt for a smaller provider like us? The number one feedback we’ve received is our responsiveness—our clients appreciate being able to reach us directly.

We offer a single point of contact. They know that if an issue arises, they can always call us directly. Our response times are immediate; we often accommodate same-day services, and at times, next-day services depending on our schedule. But one thing is certain: they know they have a reliable partner who will address their concerns promptly.

Every customer is important to us, but we particularly value our corporate partners. They are assured that when they call us, their problems will be efficiently handled.

Size and Scope of Our Corporate Clients

We serve a diverse range of corporate and commercial clients, from buildings as small as 1,200 square feet to as large as 350,000 square feet. Regardless of their size, our clients value the consistent quality of service we provide, comparable to what we offer for apartment buildings.

Ultimately, our clients are confident that when they reach out to us for commercial pest control services, we will respond immediately and they will be satisfied with the results.

Rodent Commercial Pest Control Services

Rodent infestation commercial pest control services

One of the things that our customers have been telling me a lot about lately, is rodents. What are you hearing about rodents lately? Yeah. So you really see a couple main things that require rodent exclusion stuff. We know when they’re really coming inside. There are gaps in the doors. In attic spaces there’ll be some ventilation problems.

Our Rodent Elimination Process

We’re going to patch all these up and take care of things. We keep them outside. We’ll put baits inside and rodent boxes on the outside so that some that is inside and take back outside and keep it there on the outside as well. Keep it away from the building.

There’s a common misconception about those bait boxes that people see outside of buildings. If they don’t see a tail sticking out of the end of it, people think that, oh, those things aren’t working. That trap isn’t working. It’s actually not a rodent trap. It’s a rodent bait station. What we do is we put a rodenticide inside. It’s a little poison. The rodents go inside that little bait motel, nibble on the food inside it, and slowly the poison kills them from the inside out. We want to keep those bait boxes on the outside. We don’t want to bring those rodents inside and dying somewhere inside of a warehouse.

We Handle Roaches

Our customers often provide feedback, particularly during peak seasons, about issues with roaches. We receive numerous calls when the roaches first invade. In response, we implement a treatment plan that includes placing roach bait stations and spraying the areas around them outside the building.

After the initial services, the roaches typically disappear. To maintain control, we continue to service the perimeter either monthly or bimonthly. We focus on all exterior areas where roaches might breed or lay eggs. Our goal is not only to keep them out but to ensure they stay away from the property altogether.

We Eliminate Ants

Many building owners express concern about ensuring their employees work in a safe and clean environment. A particular focus is on kitchen areas, sinks, and water spots that attract ants.

Ants are primarily drawn to food sources, which can lead to frequent complaints from employees about ants in their food—a situation nobody wants. What are we doing to protect our customers from ants in their warehouses or retail locations?

Ant Bait

Ant Prevention Strategy

We start by identifying water sources, as these are often overlooked when food is removed. This includes kitchens and bathrooms where we place gel chill baits discreetly. These baits are designed to attract ants, which then carry the bait back to their colony.

Our initial services focus on keeping ants outside and include regular maintenance to ensure that both ants and roaches stay away from kitchen and bathroom areas and off the property entirely.

Moreover, since ants enter from the outside, it’s crucial to treat not only the specific areas of ant sightings but also the perimeter of the property. We use high-quality chemicals to address these issues effectively. The ultimate goal is to target the queen ant, as eliminating her is essential for disrupting the ant population.

Life Expectancy of Ant Bait

The effectiveness of ant baits, particularly in California, is significant but not permanent. Typically, they last about 45 to 60 days. This is why we recommend a monthly service plan over a bimonthly one, as it provides more consistent coverage.

Monthly Ant Treatment

With monthly treatments, the likelihood of seeing ants diminishes greatly. While occasional sightings might occur, especially just before a scheduled service, our approach aims to ensure that such instances are rare. Our frequent visits keep ant issues out of sight and out of mind, reinforcing the barrier against re-infestation.

By sticking to a monthly schedule, we provide the most effective and persistent protection against ants, ensuring a pest-free environment for our clients.

Spider Commercial Pest Control Services

We ensure everything stays clean. Our customers often tell us that they appreciate certain aspects of our service that other companies might not regularly offer, especially in commercial settings. One key procedure we perform is web removal, which involves clearing away spider webs to discourage their return.

By removing their webs, we disincentivize spiders from staying in the area, signaling that it is not their home but yours. After the initial services, we make it clear that they are not welcome. We remove their webs and apply repellents to areas they frequent, encouraging them to relocate. Managing these webs effectively communicates to the spiders that this area is no longer habitable for them.

We Interrupt Egg Cycles

Insect eggs

One last thing that sets Dr. Pest apart from other companies is our focus on interrupting the egg cycle. Stopping the breeding process is crucial, and one effective way to do this is by using a granule.

This granule is organic, human, and pet-friendly. It penetrates deep into the soil beds where breeding and egg hatching occur, disrupting the cycle. Even if it doesn’t immediately kill the insects, it renders the ground inhospitable, causing them to seek a new home.

If the treatment doesn’t fully eliminate the pests on the first attempt, it still discourages them from settling, ensuring they won’t stay for long.

Results

Without the use of granules, pests continue to lay eggs in the grass, dirt, or other areas, perpetuating the problem. The adults may be dealt with initially, but the eggs will soon hatch, leading to a recurring infestation. By using granules, we flush out these sites, ensuring that the eggs do not hatch.

This approach not only deals with the adults but also prevents the eggs from developing. After the initial services, when the adult pests are eliminated, there is no longer a concern about future generations. The eggs on the property will never hatch, effectively breaking the cycle of infestation.

I think it brings a lot of value to our customers.
