Spider and web activity climbs through late summer and fall in Southern California. Free inspection and a written quote — call to book.
Webs Keep Coming Back Because the Egg Sacs Are Still There.
Most spiders in a Southern California home are harmless, and the brown recluse people worry about is not established in this state at all. Black widows are the one worth taking seriously — and they nest exactly where you reach without looking. We treat where spiders shelter, then physically clear the webbing and egg sacs.

Warning Signs
6 Signs You Have an Established Spider Problem
One spider by the door is a wanderer. These are the signs that spiders are living on the property and breeding.
01
Fresh webbing in wall corners, along eaves, or across garage rafters means spiders are established and feeding well.
02
Papery, pea-sized sacs tucked into window frames, vents, or stored boxes. Each one left behind repopulates the area you just cleared.
03
Black widows build irregular, tangled webs close to the ground — under workbenches, behind stored boxes, in woodpiles and meter boxes.
04
Most house spiders hunt at night. Seeing several indoors in the evening usually means a breeding population rather than one stray.
05
Spiders follow their food. A jump in spider activity often means an ant, cricket, or moth problem is feeding them.
06
Knocking webs down without treating the harborage or removing the egg sacs clears the symptom for about a week.
Why Dr. Pest
The Dr. Pest Difference
Most spider services spray a perimeter and leave the webs where they are. We identify what is actually on the property, treat where spiders shelter, and take the webbing and egg sacs with us.

Spraying around a web leaves the egg sacs intact and the area repopulates. Physical removal of webbing and egg sacs is part of every service.
Spiders stay where insects are. If ants or crickets are feeding them, treating only the spiders buys you a few weeks.
How We Work
Our Spider Control Process
Every job follows the same four steps.
01
We walk the property to identify the species present and locate webbing, egg sacs, and harborage — eaves, garages, woodpiles, meter boxes, and storage areas.
02
A residual barrier around the foundation, eaves, and entry points targets spiders where they nest and travel, instead of broadcast-spraying living space.
03
Targeted treatment of garages, closets, and the other indoor spots where spiders actually shelter.
04
We physically remove webbing and egg sacs before we leave, so the area does not repopulate from what was left behind.

FAQs
Common Questions
Most common house spiders are harmless. The black widow is the one that matters here — the UC Statewide IPM Program calls it the most common harmful spider in California, while noting that death from a bite is very unlikely. Widows favor garages, woodpiles, meter boxes, and storage areas, so that is where we focus.
Almost certainly not. According to the UC Statewide IPM Program, the brown recluse is not established in California and has no breeding populations in the state. Native recluse species live in the southeastern deserts, well outside our service area. If you have been bitten and you are worried, see a doctor — but a brown recluse in Long Beach is very unlikely.
Every property is different, and the right treatment depends on the species and how established they are. We give you a written quote after a free inspection, so you know exactly what is involved before committing to anything.
Because knocking a web down does not remove the egg sacs or treat the harborage behind it. We remove sacs by hand and treat where spiders shelter, which is what makes it last.
Often, yes. Spiders feed on insects, so reducing the insect population around your home reduces spider activity too. Ask about a combined plan if you are dealing with more than one pest.
Very little. Clear access to garage corners, storage areas, and the exterior perimeter so the technician can reach the harborage sites.
